Birthday week installment 2

Ain't no TKO, it's the real thing.

This gentleman can make an artform out of everything he does, be it paint a room, make the best margarita ever or have a group of guys sing countermelodies in a round like a damn boys choir.

The author of many of the best songs to come out of the Valley (and way beyond...), eye candy to some, ear candy to others, been proud to be his drummer since 2000, and very proud of the new cd that'll finally be released in a couple months, a happy birthday to....

My old desk never needs a rest,
and I’ve never once heard it cry.
I’ve never seen it tease,
it’s always there to please me
from nine to five.
Such a comfort to know,
it's dependable and slow,
but it’s always there.
It’s the one friend I’ve got,
a giant of all times,
my Good Old Desk.

Nilsson Schmilsson, I give up. Lord knows I tried.

And furthermore, the hint about you "having been his drummer" narrows the field down to about...what...thirty five?

Happy Birthday, Kevin. I cheated--I grabbed my nearest calendar (which is also a drawing book). My studio is such a mess, the nearest one was from 1999. The 27th was a Saturday that year. And guess where I was? At the Baystate. Seeing who? Aloha Steamtrain! And Monday, the 29th, you know who I saw at the Baystate? The Figments, with Zeke opening up.

P.S. I know whose birthday is tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me!
