"Sick Of Myself When I Look At You"

Thanks for keeping the Rockumentary going, Brian. After a week of feeling healthy and productive, I got struck again this weekend with the same thing I had last week (or whenever). I'm going to the doctor again tomorrow to learn more about it.

Yesterday I sat on the sofa in a strange daze watching an italian movie with the volume down (it had subtitles) to the sounds of Lo Fine practicing in the basement. That was kind of cool, I think.

I missed the Mark Mulcahy show on Saturday night which I was excited to go see, and I had a tiny part in. But, on Friday, when I was still feeling fine, I did get to see the band Ouch at The Elevens. They were great and funny. During the first half of the evening they had a "cocktail waitress" walking around with a tray of differnet flavored doritos. During the latter half, she was carrying around a tray with disposable razors and shaving cream.

Since it's Matthew Sweet Day here:

You try to win
At a game that has no winners
You try to learn
When nothing can be understood
You try to feel
When all feeling is gone

And you come to love
What you used to hate
You come to find
What you threw away

You thought that time
Would be your rock
And now this time
It is unlocked
Time will fly
If you can't let it go

And you come to love
What you used to hate
You come to find
What you threw away

When will you discover
Who you really are inside
Follow any other reason
you won't be satisfied

If time will fly
If you can't let it go
And you come to love
What you used to hate
You come to find
What you threw away

And you won't wait for long
'Cause you come to love
What you used to hate
