Song of the Moment #2 - Miranda Brown performs Matthew Hebert's "Settle Down"

This Song of The Moment was written by Matthew Hebert. In the spring of 2004 Austin Musician, Miranda Brown with the egging on of Drunk Stuntman Scott Hall made an album comprised of songs written entirely by different songwriters from Northampton (Brown lived here at the time).

This particular song was, as I mentioned, penned by Matthew Hebert who was kind enough to fill in on bass with The Fawns on Saturday night. On top of being a great songwriter, we learned during Fawns practice that he has an amazing talent for remembering how to play other people's songs.

I also wrote a song for this Miranda Brown album. I'll put that up on line at some point, too. But Hebert's song is better anyway. So here it is, enjoy: "Settle Down" - MP3

cHey Henning. As you know, I stole the idea from Miranda, with a slight alteration: I'm doing originals and songs that some of my heroes have written for me. There's no product yet, but Matthew Hebert has written me a beautiful song called "One Thing" which will be in Whiskey Ina's set at Eleven's on the 20th. And we hope to unveil the great song you wrote for me on the 29th at Bishop's. Thanks.
