Historic Gig Tonight!

"$7, that's all, Champ."

"Fo' what?", asks Champ.

For 4 bands at the Elevens.

1) An opening singer/songwriter named Seth and that's all I know because I'm duh.

2) The FIGMENTS (!!!) This is, almost to the day, the TENTH ANNIVERSARY of the day I first walked timidly into an apartment on School St, a 22 year old UMass senior english major, introduced myself, set up my drums and The Figments were thus born.
Who ever heard of ten years?
Plus, tonight we will have for sale, our new reissued, remastered, repackaged, reordered "Broken Time". There will be a special twofer deal if you wanna also get 2001's "All the Gone Days".
And by spring, there will be a new arrival.

3) The Silos. They were voted "Best New Band" in Rolling Stone Magazines 1988 readers poll. Yes, they've been around that long. Been compared to everyone from the Velvet Underground to REM to Gram Parsons. I'm excited.

4) Ware River Club. Aahh, yes. All things must pass. This is the first of their 2 farewell shows at the Elevens. Pay your final respects to an awesome band that will go down in Noho history. And the rock the frig out. Matty. And Matty. And Bobby. And Donny. And (over the course of the 2 nights) everyone that's ever played bass for them (who hasn't? You? Oh.)

let me be the first to say that the FIGMENTS are one of the best bands ever! dancing to them tonight turned me right back into that young(ish) chick who thrilled to have her feet lifted off the floor by their great music!
