Minus Numbers

On my trip I read Bret Easton Ellis's new book, Lunar Park.

I raced though it--mostly on the airplane rides--and enjoyed it. He says it's an homage to Steven King. And it sure is scary.
This work of fiction concerns a writer named Bret Easton Ellis, author of such books as Less Than Zero and American Psycho, and the horrors he runs into while trying to stay sober and settle into a suburban life with his wife and kid(s).

The website is great because it's divided into the real Ellis and Lunar Park's Ellis. Not knowing the real Ellis' life story, I couldn't really tell what was at least close to truth or not. I mean I had read Less Than Zero. It helps to read the website's duel interviews with Ellis the author and Ellis the guy in the book.
Though I did figure that he probably was not a guest at the White House during Bush 1, invited by Jeb and GW (a coke connection hint). But that is a funny thing to imagine. And the scenes with Jay McIerney (?), the Bright Lights, Big City author are a bit too hillarious to be real.
The website even has a link to the fake website of the actress the character in the book is married to.

Bonus bit of info:
There are two brand new XTC songs out there, one each by Andy and Colin--but you have to buy a friggin Box Set of already-released stuff to hear them. Frig them.

XTC. Are those two new tunes on the new reissue Apple Venus box set I saw over on Chalkhills? F-R-I-G is how I spell THAT in my dictionary.
