Our good local radio station, WRSI, has been featuring the new White Stripes album lately. They play a few tracks every day. Man, it is bugging me. I haven't been able to grasp what it is that people like about that band. I just find the music irritating.
Am I missing something?

Completely agree. I can't think of a more homogenized industry sales pitch than the white stripes. A bland, white, mockery of everything that once was great about rock music. Sad, really. Infuriating in another way. A man like Jose Ayerve, with more talent in his little toe than any band on the cover of Rolling Stone has to work his ass off just to maintain a simple life while these assclowns roll in it. Gross.
