Hey look! It's Ken! Hi, Ken!
Pedro the Lion is featured again in the latest issue of Magnet. Ken's in that band. Also in the latest issue of Magnet is a great review of King Radio's "Are You The Sick Passenger"! Congratulations King Radio.
Last night, Lesa and I watched Made on MTV and it really was like reading a Where's Waldo book. The show is polluted with non-stop song snippet after song snippet. There must have been over a hundred different little pieces of music used. Ours was one of them.
Just as the girl told the fat kid (who's goal in this episode was to lose weight, gain confidence, and ask out his friend Nina) that she would, in fact, like to go to the homecoming dance with him, the instrumental intro to Uncomfortable kicked in. I almost didn't even recognize it. It was very much background music. Interestingly, it had been sort of looped and pasted together. The beginning guitar/chime riff was looped a few times and then the end chord of the whole song was pasted onto the end of that. It was kind of cool and it was actually a really good episode of the show because the kid (the Ari Vais of this episode) was funny and likeable. Yee.
