Brian, Max, and I just had our first XTC practice (We're performing a small XTC tribute act in a local show called Transperformance later in August).
Those songs are exhausting. I think I would have gone crazy from it, too, Andy.
I was so busy concentrating on my own ill-fated attempts at playing them that I forgot to tell Max and Brian how good they sounded. I know Brian has been playing these songs in his head for most of his life so I expect only greatness. I know Max is a fan but he obviously has already spent some time with the songs and his bass. XTC bass parts are pretty much insane.
Me, I'm trying to figure out how to sing these songs with enough intensity, while playing my guitar parts. I'm counting on Tony to really keep things together in the guitar category. We're still not sure if Ken will be on stage with us which makes things even more challenging since he already knows how to play most of the parts to these songs, I bet.
Anyway, it was a good practice, things felt promising. Nice work, boys.
