Instead of saying "Why?" or "How come?" my six year-old daughter likes to say "Why come?" She seems to always be trying to stifle a grin as she says it and sometimes she can't help but erupt into giggles just after uttering it. She thinks this is hilarious and I must admit I do too.
Meanwhile, a sure way to make my six month-old son smile and laugh heartily is to gently wrap your fingers around his fists and shake them rhythmically in the air while you orally produce accompanying fake drumset sounds. It's just as effective as tickling.
