As promised, here is the breakdown of last year versus this year in Halloween costumes that showed up at our door. What does the comparison tell you about the current social environment for children in this country?

I love this, henning.
I once had an art history professor who had the foresight to do a photo self portrait (head shot) every year, starting when he was a very young man until he was quite old, and when he put them all together, it was wonderful.
Don't be daunted by my expectation(!), but how wonderful it is that you are chronicling your time in this house this way. Thank you.
P.S. If you could possibly attempt sketches (from memory, of course) of some of these costumes, it would be swell. And I would also like to know what 'treats' you 'served' from each year!
I know this looks like sarcasm, but I'm actually serious.

What a cool idea!
Thanks for the kind comments.
Ina, the candy listing is a good idea. I'll include that next year. FYI for now:
2006 = Kit-Kat, Snickers
2007 = Nestle Crunch, Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, Reeses Peanutbutter Cups.
Usually two for each creature.
