At the Elevens tonight, Lord Russ is hosting a tribute to Elvis.
Come for the Elvis Russ show,
STAY for Sitting next to Brian!!
Ok, even if you don't stay ,I'm so excited for this.
We're doing 3 songs, 2 of which I'm playing guitar and singing, and one I'm back at the drums and singing. We rehearsed and it sounded so good.
Henning and Lesa will also bring a tear to your eyes (or several tears to one of your eyes) with their bit.
The night may end with a big singalong with Haunt and friends.
ps--last night we went to the Sierra, just for a drink and a snack, and it was really dangerously close to Baystate times, inside and out. 30 people smoking on the sidewalk at midnight? Some long-missing faces appearing out of nowhere?
Ok, see you tonight.

Yes, Brian, I'm looking forward to it, too. I just had my lesson with Sue Burkhart and she played solos on the 3 songs I've got. It can't help but sound good! And it felt good, too. She may make it out tonight to play with me, but otherwise, I'm hoping I can recruit some folks there--wanna drum??!!
Making music can never be over. I got a thrill at this morning's paper: a photo of Jimmy Carter, Dizzy Gillespie, and Max Roach swingin' the White House with "Salt Peanuts!" It gives me hope for music, music when you're old, AND getting a president we can respect! (That's some photo!)
See you tonight!
Some say Elvis is King, but last night, Rick was my King. Thank you, Rick.
How lovely it would be sometime to swing those songs with Brian tap-tappin' on the drums and Henning bringing up the bass. You are lucky to have each other. It's a club I long to join, but alas, it may not happen in this life time...
