Can you help me?

A co-worker of mine has a father that used to be in a Brooklyn-based folk-rock garage band back in the '60s. The co-worker asked me if I might be able to take this stack of reel-to-reel tapes of his dad's group's performances that he hasn't heard in 20 years and transfer some of them to CDs as a present for him. I said sure since my uncle has a reel-to-reel player and I could figure out how to do it somehow. However, when I obtained the player, it turns out the machine no longer works properly. So now I'm wondering if any of the Rockumentary readers know of anyone who might be able to help me with this favor at all. Since it's intended to be a present, my co-worker said he expects to pay something to make this come to fruition. Any ideas, dear readers? If so, please email me at tony@schoolforthedead.com
