What's A Balance Test?

On Monday, I have another doctor's appointment. This time, I am having what they call a balance test. I got a call today confirming the time and explaining the procedure a little. It might be kind of fun…or terrible, could go either way…or both ways.

First I am going to be wearing some special goggles and following a little light around with my eyeballs while I am placed in different positions. Then they are going to blow air different temperatures into each of my ears. First cold for a while and then warm. This part, they say, is where I may experience some serious vertigo. Luckily Lesa has volunteered to drive me to and from the appointment.

Anyway, sounds like an experience. Afterwards, I'll either find out a little bit more about my situation or I'll be allowed to join a fraternity.

By the way, I've always had very good balance. It's been one of my strengths. I've always criss-crossed the jagged rocks with sure-footed confidence.

There's another sort of balance test where you get on a large set of scales, and they weigh you against a duck. If you weigh the same as the duck, you're made of wood, and therefore a witch. Then they burn you.

Good luck with your test, which hopefully your doctor will remember is not the above sort.

So, what happened? Do you still have balance or are you just the reigning president of the delta epsilon alpha delta? please tell all.
