The New Year

Happy New Year everyone. It's 2007. I'm not much of a resolution kind of guy (accept musically, I do love resolving chords, that used be a thing with Lord Russ and me when we were arranging Aloha Steamtrain songs, he liked to let the unresoved chord ring and I liked to resolve it.) but I have some ideas of things that I would like to see happen this year.

I suppose instead of saying "things I'd like to see happen", I should say "things I'd like to make happen", that'd probably be the first step in getting anything done. (I have a new song, by the way all about not getting things done).

First, I would like for my head to clear up so that I can actually concentrate on something for more than five minutes. Then maybe I can work on some of these other things. I have a balance test next week, I'll tell you all about it later.

As far as Rub Wrongways Studios: We will finish the new Sitting Next To Brian soon. We may have a small project with Bourgeois Heroes. We will do the new School for the Dead album. I'd like to also make a live in studio SFTD recording or acoustic based performances of some of our songs - because I love how they sound in the small room played quietly. Hopefully, we'll do a lot of other stuff too.

I hope to play a number of performances of The Rosenbach Company again this year. More people need to see that.

I'd like to play more shows this year in SFTD, The Fawns, and solo.

I'd like to get a song on a movie soundtrack or a television show. Anyone have any advice?

I'd like to write some new better songs. I do have a number of newish ones, at least two for SFTD to definately pick up. Probably four. I also have some older ones that I'd really like the band to do.

I'd like to give the web sites a bit of a face lift and make them more interesting, lovely, and user friendly. I may need help from someone who actually knows how to make web sites. We need an intern.

What else? Hmmm. I'll work on that.
