After this holiday week, all a body has to look forward to is springtime and, man, that takes forever here in New England. Wouldn't it be great if all this energy and good spiritedness and all these decorations and lights and parties came at a time when we really need them? We need the extra warmth when the dark freezing demons of January and February are whipping around ouside.
I say, let's move all this stuff back a month or so. Why not?
In the meantime, since nobody has taken me up on my request and moved the holidays, we have a couple special shows to announce. None of them are School for the Dead, though.
Tomorrow night, Saturday December 23, Lesa and Henning will be doing a rare duet performance at The Elevens, warming up the stage for Abby Connolly. We'll be doing Fawns songs. I'll be playing chimes and guitar and melodica and maybe bass.On New Year's Eve, The Fawns are playing as part of Northampton's First Night Celebration at the First Church's Lyman Hall right in the center of town. We'll be doing two 45 minute sets. One at 7:00 and one at 8:00. Always fun. Go here for tickets: First Night
Then, later that night, The Aloha Steamtrain returns for a huge show at The Elevens. First, the always inspiring Mark Mulcahy plays at 10:00, then the Steamtrain takes the stage at around 3-2-1 midnight.
Should be fun.
Have a wonderful weekend and week, everyone!
