dream and revealing my sources and cat news

Last night I had a dream that I was walking down Trumbull and noticed that my old place had a tag sale. The boarded-up windows had spray-painted on them the name and phone number of a towing service. A guy came out and said he’d turned the house into his new business. I noticed the stuff for sale was all my stuff and in great shape. I wondered if it smelled bad (because I have a weak smell sense) so I was looking for Marisa to see if it was worth taking back. It was all kitchen stuff (and nicer than the stuff I really had). I was looking around wondering if anyone had buried Marianne around there—maybe in the garden.
Then all these 50-something women were shopping at the tag sale and I was saying “you’re buying all my stuff” and they said “should we know who you are?” and I said “I should think so!” Then I woke up and was happy that I didn’t really have to decide what to and not to take back.

Sources:
1) I keep hearing this ad for a church on Trumbull Rd and remember many times haring singing coming from a house when I waswalking to Serios on a Sunday morning.

2) I was skimming Donovan's autobiography and he recounted a conversation with a middle aged woman on an airplane who didn't recognize him (he was young and famous then)

3) Last night I went to Dave's Soda and Pet Food City (or whatever it's called now) to buy stuff for my NEW CAT!!!!! More details later. The new cat phase begins Saturday.

that dream sounds very stressful. i'm glad you woke up. funny about Donovan-i was relating a story at the Iron Horse where i overheard some young guy said to his girlfriend as he looked at a poster for the Donovan Whoever concert, "I know the other Donovan, the old Donovan, because his daughter went to my school...I don't know any of his songs or anything, though," I had to laugh.
Good Luck with Kitty.

Donovan, Donovan, Donovan. I can't figure out what to do with him. He's underrated on one hand- there's more to him than that handful of hits he's known for and yet when you go deeper into his canon, you realize most of it is forgettable fluff. His place in history shouldn't be defined by being upstaged by Dylan in that film and yet that's pretty accurate. I acquired one of his discs about three years ago and haven't listened to it since that day. What do I do with this guy? I don't want to fire him but what good is he doing hiding out in the breakroom all day long?
