The Ice Storm

The Ice Storm is one of my favorite movies. Love the modern architecture of these houses in the 70's (I think it's the 70's). Love the insular mood of the movie as the ice starts to form.

Yeah, sure, Ice Storms in general have their good sides. They make everything look cool. They fill you with that storm excitement.

But, you know when I don't like Ice Storms? When they might mess up a show that I have been looking forward to for months. I'm not saying that tomorrow's storm might keep Jane Siberry from being able to get to The Iron Horse, even though she is coming up from Virginia. I'm just saying it's possible.

Jane's hardy, though. She's from Canada where these kind of Storms are just icing on the cake. Whatever that means.

Anyway, cross your fingers. In the meantime, Robert over at the Rhapsody Radish just published a "Playlist for an Ice Storm" here. I didn't listen to it but, it seemed fitting to link to it in this entry. Not sure why. Oh yeah, because of the Ice Storm.
