Thanks to Mark Schwaber for telling me about this UK Music Hall of fame event 2 weeks ago. I was just reading a story on it. And here's a slice of truth courtesy of Pink Floyd's drummer, Nick Mason. The delivery is a little weak, but the joke's good.
"It's a small boy who says to his mother, 'When I grow up, I am going to be a drummer'. His mother laughs and looks at him pityingly and says, 'You can't do both!'"
I'm screwed.

Good old Nick Mason. He seemed to do alright.
For the last week or so, I've been working on a new song - sort of a Ska-ish New Wave thing called "Don't Grow Up". Maybe kind of like a Madness song.
Anyway, everybody wishes they were a drummer. It's hard to keep three or four seperate beats going on, it's easy to carry a briefcase.
