I just heard a piece on Spouse on the local segment of the NPR Morning Edition show.
The host talked with Daniel Oppenheimer about Jose, giving bio info and playing bits of songs. It was about a 5-10 minute piece and would have made me a fan if I wasn't already.
Y'know, I recently saw "Fever Pitch" and saw our Jose's name crawl down the screen during the end credits. (he co-wrote a song--Moonshot Manny-- used in the end credits medly of Sox songs). It was cool. The movie? Eh.
So anyway, this means that once Henning plays part-time with a band (Spouse, Winterpills) they are featured on NPR. Sometimes it's nice to be a session guy--you never know where your many affiliations will pop up.
In other affiliation, and public radio news, Don Lennon was just found in the top 3 of one NPR critic's picks
And to follow that tangent, another one I've played with and who's moved to NYC is Adam Greenberg. And his band Senator has a new EP out, which actually has a track or two with me on drums, Ken on keyboard. I should be getting a copy soon. If you want one, go to senatorsenator.com
Achievements. And the days are getting longer.
Perhaps next week we can run down the top SFTD moments of 2005. In and out of music.
New sons and new jobs and new apartments are all pretty groovy.
Today I wrap.
And should I change to Florence Savings Bank? Thinking of it. Hating the $10/month BOA takes out.

We're very happy with FSB. Mortgage, car loan, one savings account, three checking accounts, direct deposit, automatic payments, nice people, blah blah blah. Thumbs up.
There is absolutely no reason to NOT use FSB. I have, for years. You can use any SUM ATM for free (meaning all FSB ATMs, but also Easthampton Savings, People's Bank, etc.) and I've never had to pay any fee for anything. I use their online banking to pay all of my bills -- a free service! They're great!
