Song of the Moment - "Howard" by Cub

I've been really digging this song "Howard" from a band called Cub. I came across it on Rhapsody, appearently it's only available on a disc called "Pop American Style", which you can get here.

I've been doing a little research on the band, which I learned broke up in 1996. Oh well.

Anyway, this song "Howard" keeps coming up in Rhapsody on the radio stations I've been exploring and I always think, "Who is this?! We should cover this song!"

Finally, I found a sort of official website for them here: Cub Home Page. It was here that I learned that this is the same band that wrote the amazing song "New York City" that They Might Be Giants covered!

Ken had played me a bit of their music on our ride back from Chicago last spring. Now I remember.

I really like this song, "Howard". You can sample it at the same place you can buy the album that I linked to up there. Here it is again: Link to Pop American Style. Sorry, I can't find an mp3 of it online.

Cub.

I loved Cub when I was in high school! I always want to replace a record of theirs that my friend, Annie, stole in college. But most of their records, as far as I could tell, are out of print. I'm glad to hear there are some songs around.

Oh yeah, it was "Come out, come out."

Kelsey, they have a few of the records on Amazon. I don't know if any of them are the one you are looking for but you can just search for Cub under Popular Music and find them.
