Professional Support

I'm continuing my carreer as a professional Iron Horse Music Hall Opening Musician on December 16th.

Throughout the years, I've managed to secure slots supporting some musicians that I hold in high regard. Evan Dando, Freedy Johnston, and Robyn Hitchcock are all artists whose music I have known for years. They've been influences on me, I've learned to play their songs, in some ways they've shaped the way I think...certainly the way I compose and sing.

Now it's happening again and this time it's with an artist who has been, along with the likes of Hitchcock, Simon, Costello, Nilsson, and Vega, a key contributer to the soundtrack of my life.

The Self Titled first album, The Speckless Sky, No Borders Here, The Walking, Bound By The Beauty, When I Was A Boy, and Maria have all been played and played and played again. I was listening to the first four albums before I even had a cd player. I still have the very worn Maxell XLII 90 minute cassette recorded from my brother Alvin's records with No Borders Here on side A and The Walking on side B. I don't think it's every really left my car. When I've had to replace one broken down jalopy with another, the tape just transferred over.

So, anyway, yes, I just heard back from the Iron Horse and I will be playing the supporting role for Jane Siberry on December 16 this year. Pretty cool. She puts on a great show. I should know, I've seen her like 10 times.
