I just sent out a mailing to the School for the Dead mailing list. If you didn't get one, then you are not on our list. If you'd like to be, just sign up right over there on the left. I send something out about every two months these days.
Every time I send one out, though, someone immediately UNsubscribes from the list. This time it was someone from Connecticut College. Bye bye, student. Now we are down to 343 members.
Sometimes, I feel guilty for sending out the mailings. As a guy who gets over 200 spams a day, I know what it is like to receive unwanted messages. But then I remind myself that everyone on our list at one time or another signed themselves up for it.
Except for this one guy years ago who could not figure out why we were sending him mailings. It turned out that someone wrote in his name and address at one of our shows. Which show? Connecticut College. Weird. What is it with that school?
