What would José do?

Next Sunday, October 8 is a great event in Easthampton at The Apollo Grill. It's a fund raiser for our good friend José Ayerve and his family. José is an intrical part of the music scene and an unstoppable force of motivation for us all. So much so, in fact, that in situations where I or Lesa start to feel lazy about something, we say, "What would José do?". The answer is usually the correct choice.

So José and his family can use our help now. His father was just shot and killed outside a bank on a vacation in Columbia. It's a crazy, sudden world. In support of José, Mark Schwaber has organized (at lightening speed, I might note) this great event. All the details are here on this poster and the article below it. Click it and just see:

What exactly will the money be used for?

Hello,
The money raised will be put into a scholorship in Miguel's name. It will be given out once a year to a college bound student from Springfield, MA who has lost a family member to violence. It will be a $2,000 scholorship. We're hoping (with everyone's help) to raise enough for at least one year on this night.
Cheers,
Mark
