Hello

Hello, I'm back from a week in Canada. I returned to a whole mess of phone messages and over 900 emails (thank you, terrible spammers). Lots of exciting things presented themselves on my return. Here are ten thoughts and tidbits in lazy-list-form.

1.) I won a $500 futon and frame from WRNX and Fly-By-Night by submitting a poem to their "I Shoulda Bought A Futon Contest". You can see the poem here: WRNX.

2.) The Aloha Steamtrain is playing a surprise reunion THIS Saturday at the Elevens as part of the HUGE Hurricane Relief Fund Raiser which will featured tons of acts. The whole show starts at 7:00 and runs all night. Everyone should go.

3.) We got a few more orders from Amazon.com, making August tied with July for most New You sales.

4.) I found out that Transperformance is being broadcast on local cable, though I don't remember signing any releases. Look for it on Comcast Channel 15.

5.) I'm playing bass with the Winterpills on September 17th at The Iron Horse. I was presented with an advance copy of their new album and listened to it on the ride to Canada. It's really, really excellent. Can't imagine it not being a huge success.

6.) Recording for the new Mike Flood album is starting this week. Brian and I are both playing on it.

7.) My cell phone is not really working very well, so if you have left me a message, you might try and send it to my home number instead.

8.) The Fawns are heading to Boston next week on the 16th to play in the New England Pop Festival and we are probably playing at The Elevens on the 17th (after my Winterpills gig).

9.) Brian is singlehandedly bringing down the Subway corporation, much in the way that I fought against another local business for their own french bashing. Go, frenchy, go.

10.) We played Transperformance and all I have read about it here is a brief list of highlights from Brian. Where are Ken, Tony, and Max? I know you guys still have passwords. We miss your writing. People are constantly asking me about you. Feeling pressured? Good.

I am very jealous that you won a futon. But congratulations!
