Does it seem like the mechanics of the machine world operate in waves? I have recently been finding myself caught in a wave of broken or poorly-working items. Here is the current state of some frustrating equipment and services that are bringing me down:
.) My internet connection has been on and off sluggish as of late, also our wireless reception seems to have diminished a bit.
.) My cell phone is behaving strangely. At times, it can find no network when I know there is one right there. At other times, it freezes when I try to push buttons. Yesterday it was waking up on it’s own for no apparent reason.
.) My digital camera has been shutting off and then on at weird moments.
.) My awesome Maestro Electric Piano has been getting quieter and quieter. I took it apart but that’s usually about as far as I get when trying to fix things.
.) My bass guitar is hissing and has a weak output
.) My analog video camera would prefer to display a series of colored stripes instead of the actual video on the tapes.
.) My car is getting louder and the back doors still will not open.
.) I don't think my alarm clock beeped this morning, but I can't be positive.
.) My bass cabinet is just sitting there in silence with no working amplifier to give it life.
.) The sink in not draining well.
.) Don't even get me started on my computer.

Hitting things that don't work is called "Percussive Maintenance."
