Singing softly and sweetly in malefemale harmonies, the Invisible Cities hark back to the naïve lovers’ pop of yesteryear with their gently strummed guitars and lo-fi production. But the down-low, three-year-old SF trio also wield the considerable stick of a jazz combo’s sophistication, weaving an awareness of space, texture, and nuance into the melody and melancholy.
