Ning,
I've been to the R+R Hall of Fame ( I think I went in '97).
As a part time superfan who based many of my early beliefs and values on aspects of rock/pop (and see where I am today), it left me very cold, and freaked out.
I don't wanna see all of Mick Jagger's tour outfits from the 70's behind glass.
I don't wanna see a version of the history of rock that I don't necessarily subscribe to.
I don't wanna drive all the way to Cleveland to see the museum, then realize "I'm in Cleveland--now what? Go find Devo? (the Indians were out of town)".

It was the experience that made me realize, "I'm no longer watching the game. I'm IN this game" (it was the start of the Figments/Steamtrain era)

Anyway.
