Yesterday the Creative Writing class handed in their haiku (remind me to remind them that the plural of "haiku" is "haiku," not "haikus") and I was floored by the quality of many of them. Although this one doesn't reflect how impressive the best ones were (the author herself composed better ones), from my subjective perspective, this one's my personal fave:
He stares and waits
And slyly tells jokes
If you listen, he'll blow your mind
(J. Cacciola)
