Tonight: Tony and I practice for our upcoming duo show, and Birthday-Week-Brian gets taken to see The Pixies, Mission of Burma, and The Bennies by Lesa Bezo.
Also, this morning when I opened the door to leave the apartment, waiting for me was a box. Inside the box is an extension cable that should allow me to move my noisy computer into the closet, thus freeing up my whole control room from unwanted noise. This will allow me not only to mix music better but to also record right there in that room instead of running back and forth all the time. This will be a HUGE improvement. HUGE.
Once that is in place, and the room is re-un-cluttered and put into its place, I can begin some of my put-off recording projects and I can hopefully, finish up my solo album by redoing just about all the vocals. Stupid vocals.
I'm looking forward to getting some stuff going again. The last few days have been filled with too much television. Although, I did manage to read Michael Ruffino's book "Gentlemanly Repose: Confessions of a Debauched Rock 'n' Roller". I found it to be delightful and a little bit depressing yet, at times, terribly uplifting. You can sample some of it here: NY Press. I also put up some Chistmas lights last night on our front porch.
Who cares?
