The personal situation for me in the band as it stands now is that I actually can play more events than we're booked for. I'm actually eager to have all these new people I'm meeting through my new career get a chance to see this band play if they're interested. The school year will be half-over by the time our Iron Horse show rolls around, so by all means, Henning, if you can book more shows, I will make most, if not all of them. And I want to make them. Sometimes the out-of-town shows on weeknights will naturally present problems but we usually have plenty of advance notice for me to make arrangements with lesson planning, coursework, etc.

Weekly rehearsals might be a tougher situation. But as it stands right now, the main thing SFTD needs to do is find a replacement for Max and then work on getting him/her up to speed on a set of songs so perhaps my missing rehearsals won't present as much of a problem, at least temporarily. If I have to miss them, that is. Does that make sense?

And yeah, by all means, book some solo shows but don't be apprehensive about asking me if I can play a show; don't let that be a deterrent in the initial decision stage. I adore this band and want to play more shows than we do and can play more shows than we do (especially locally). I also have an idea I'd like us to pursue before Max's official departure ( he may think he's left officially but I think I can get him to humor me on this idea, provided it's an idea Henning and Brian are as equally interested in pursuing); at any rate, I'll explain more on the car ride to Boston before I start getting our readers excited about something that may not ever come to fruition. Stay tuned.

Henning, why do you hate our country?
