I feel deflated today.

I feel like the kid reading from the outdated textbook while the football team is practicing in brand new uniforms. The jocks win again.

America is now about to enter the Absurdity Age where up is down and left is right and anything goes because nothing seems to make a difference anyway.

In a way, I look forward to it. The chaos could be nice. I see a country of people who are acting as though the end of the world is approaching quickly. I see half of a clearly Divided United States simply giving up, throwing caution to the wind. I imagine lots of lost road trips of disillusioned youth who are all gone to look for America.

I've been reading some online blogs and getting some emails and clearly today people have lost faith. There is a somber air in Northampton.

I can't record music tonight, like I was hoping to, because my computer committed suicide last night.

Maybe it's time to get back to nature. A hike in the crisp autumn air might be the ticket.
