Today's poll question: as the reign of CDs becomes threatened by other means of music delivery, we at the research base wonder:
what were the first 4 CDs you owned, and when was it (since it took some people longer than others to become CD-oriented)
My answer:
Fall of 1990
1) The Monkees Missing Links 2
2) Sonic Youth "Goo" (a friend stole it for me, but I didn't ask her to--a sophomore punk hoping to impress the senior drummer.)
3) Where the Pyramid Meets the Eye: A Tribute to Roky Erickson (with REM, Julian Cope, Bongwater, Jesus/Mary Chain, T-Bone Burnett....) I regretfully sold this back some poor time in college.
4) Morrissey: Bona Drag (a birthday present)
