I don't remember my first four CDs. (Why 4?!? Is that how many you could remember, Brian?) My first CD player, though, was a Sony "My First Sony". It was bright red and plastic and had a speaker, a microphone, and a handle. It was made for kids. This isn't because I was a kid at the time. It was because my brother Norbert gave it to me at Christmas. He said it had the same circuitry as a regular Sony CD player but it was portable and really funny. He was right. I had it for years and years. The coolest thing was the rubberized edges to protect it when it was dropped. Let me see if I can find a picture of that model.
Nope. I can't. Just believe me when I say it was really cool. I think it was 1987 maybe '86 and it had an output so I could plug it in to the rest of my stereo system. Awesome.
The first two discs I had were: The Go Go's - Beauty and The Beat and 10,000 Maniacs - In My Tribe. I think my third was probably REM Murmur but I'm not sure.
