OK, I'm gone a week and suddenly the leader of my band is pro-Bush? (No, I know...)
Well, looking at your comment from the most distant objective standpoint, I can see the point in it, but
I wouldn't give Bush's slant on it any credit. That's a dangerous line to approach. I wouldn't want any president of a democracy to doubt evolution. It's strange, two things that hold back from the human race evolving is religion and cynicism. One is way too earnest, one is not at all. If the cynics could see the good in religion, and the radical zealots could see that we're all free to believe what we want to believe, even if it's nothing, we'd be approaching OK.
Do I have to come back early to straighten all this out? Are you going to keep making me fight against fatigue, multiple glasses of Merlot and the high of being at a party with Buck Henry to forward my deepest beliefs?
