Ning,
I'm sorry that your stay turned out so bad. Your writings on it though made it seem like a Vacation movie. Are you the new Chevy Chase? But really, things can only get better after that, no?
But thanks for the nice review of the play. Last night I had a dream that the female lead was berating me for having the audacity to suggest something for the play. I'm too insecure.
I didn't end up seeing the new long titled movie--2 people have recommended it for dates, and so I'll wait 'till A is here this weekend.
Well, to comiserate with Ning's story, my first night in da big city ( a week ago) involved me all alone at 11pm figuring out what combo of trains get me to where I'm staying. It was snowing and windy, and midnight found me and my new wheeled-suitcase making tracks down the street in Greenpoint, with me hoping I was going the right way. I wasn't and was set straight by a kindly indie rocker taking a midnight stroll.
Yesterday I wrote and programmed some dance beats at MW's. I could come up with that stuff all day.
In related news, for my time off I brought 2 notebooks worth of unfinished songs and keep glancing at them like they're a pile of
dog poo. So I look straight ahead, walk around them and do something else.
Like come up with a new half idea to add to the pile.
What kind of creative purgatory is that?
