Well, Kristin Beam over at SoundCheck has deemed herself as an image consultant for bands. One of her suggestions:
"Provide style continuity - There is nothing worse than when a band has four different members projecting four different unique personalities. This only serves to confuse the audience."
I got four words for her. Y.M.C.A.
In fact, the more I think about what she says, the more I disagree with it. What about Cheap Trick? The Monkees? U2? The different personalities are what make those bands extra special. Actually, different personalities is what makes the music better, too. That's what bands are all about, blending different perspectives together. So, Max, you just go right on ahead and wear your construction worker outfit.
