I got to hear a good deal of that Thorns during my stint at For the Record. I agree--good stuff.
What's also really cool, and which I heard that same day is this collection of early Matthew Sweet stuff, where he's all jumpy new wave. I can't remember what that was called. I think it was part of a larger collection.
