Maybe it started with the 6 CD Changer, but it does seem like the concept of an ALBUM is fading for me. Years ago, I always listened to entire albums, loved the completeness of them, the peaks and valleys. Lately, I seem to be more focussed on individual songs. I miss the album.

I think you are right, though. Why would albums even exist when the disk you have music on can hold 100's of hours of music? It's all so hard to imagine. It almost seems insurmountable. This crazy future of endless music with no boundries kind of scares me off, like I don't even want to deal with it at all. How do we as a band deal with it? How do I as a music lover deal with it? Just wait and see, I guess.

One thought I had the other day which is sort of related:

I don't want to be the musician who is concerned with how many records get sold.
I want to be the musician who is concerned with how many times each record is listened to by it's owner.
