Hope y'all don't mind but I volunteered us to be part of a potential local music tribute show to Maurice Gibb that was suggested on Soundboard. Some posters started grabbing at songs so I unofficially reserved Birdie Told Me, Kilburn Towers and Melody Fair for us. I'd be happy doing any number of their songs and I don't think it's really a problem if artists duplicate tunes anyway but my guess is if we jump on some of the obscure gems from the Bee Gees' first four albums (their best stuff anyway), most people will be trolling through the disco and sappy ballad hits that they're known for. But everything is still tentative. I know I'd love to learn and perform some of their songs live.
As for this Friday, Ken suggested 9 songs for our set. Which sounds like we're just playing a short set. If that's the case, I don't have a problem with just arranging Ken's picks into an order. I can do that tomorrow. They were: Photobooth, Ayla, Thug, Wichita, One Ldy, Gripe, V-66, New You, and Omnivore. Anybody hankering for a particular substitution?
