Henley, tonight the last open mic or was that last week?
Now I realize that 95.3 (da ribba) is miles better than the average Clear Channel radio station but after a few hours of listening to it upstairs while helping out in shipping, I'm just still not that impressed. However, just as I ventured into the Freedy canon recently, I think another journey is warranted. One particular song I heard (and I don't know the title) on the radio today struck me. Wow, beautiful voice, stark and pretty song (without being overemotive and/or drenched in histrionics). Who dis? Jane Siberry. Like Freedy, another Hen/Ken fave I kn(e)w nothing by. If Freedy did an album of Miles Davis covers, it should be called Freedy Freeloader and if Jane S. married Chuck Berry, divorced him and then married The Killer, she'd be Jane Siberry-Berry-Lee Lewis. And when they translate "Cheese Nips" into Spanish, does it come out as "Nips of Cheese"?
