I'm very sorry to have missed the Brian-and-Ken-and-comics-and-opera-and-other Neat-O stuff this past weekend. I hope it gets a revival, like Chicago, and it becomes a full-fledged touring production, with a big movie soon to follow.

I was in Boston, wrapped up like a burrito and braving the cold in Haaaavad and Portaaah squares, among others. I amazingly didn't buy any music or rockstar clothing, though Anya found a sweet record from the '60s by the Japanese Youth Symphony Orchestra. She bought it for the record artwork but I look forward to giving it a spin tonight. That is, after Joe Millionaire, of course.

In addition to the new bass on order, I've also taken on the project of rebuilding my main bass from the latter part of the Maggies'-era. It's a butt-ugly Mockingbird body, which could easily have starred in a video by Kiss, circa '85. But then again, Kim Gordon played the same bass in "The Year That Punk Broke", so there. I've painted it red, then added all kinds of sparkly stuff. It got even uglier. I may use it in the Fawns exclusively. The bass will likely see it's debut on Valentine's Day at Harry's.
