Max, how are you enjoying Coat of Many Cupboards? I think now that it's been on tour (to your house and chez Westcott) I may actually wanna listen to it again. The first 2 weeks I listened to it a lot to the point that I couldn't even look at my photo on the wall of me with Andy Partridge. You know, you get bad heartburn from a restaurant, you avoid it for a while.
So by the time I get it back (and Max, totally take your time to get the most out of it) I'll be glad I got it again. It's easy (for me) to OD on XTC and need to listen to something like The Clash to remedy it.
I was reading in this enormous book about punk some quote about how XTC were hated by many true punks because a) they were great musicians and b) had bad hair (though that's just Colin Moulding, right?) It said XTC were music for kids studying in the sixth form halls or some kind of British weirdness like that.
I subscribesd to that Indie thing. , Ning Ning Ning.
