Tomorrow morning, Brian and I are flying out to San Francisco. We're taking an airplane.
Actually we're taking two airplanes because it's only 2008 and they haven't invented planes that can fly all the way across the country yet with out stopping to rest.
We'll be traveling with the Western Massachusetts branch of the Rosenbach Company. That's Mark Mulcahy, Dave Trenholm, and Dan Richardson in addition to the two of us.
We'll arrive in Shaky Town at 3:12 PM, which is really 6:12 PM since I don't adhere to the freakish other time zones. I pay them no mind.
That night we'll check into our delightful hotel and get ready for the huge Rosenbach Company performance the next day. That'll be a day long affair. We'll be getting to the theater early in the morning and loading-in, setting up, checking sound and lights, and rehearsing. Then that night we'll do our show and then we'll collapse in exhaustion.
The next day, Thursday, Brian and I will meet up with Han Wang, an old friend of mine and our fill-in School for the Dead bass player for the show that evening. We'll go over our set with Han and then play our show, opening for Han's awesome band Invisible Cities at the Hemlock Tavern.
Know anybody in The Golden Gate City? By all means tell 'em about our show, friend.
On Friday, who knows what will happen....perhaps I will just roam the city aimlessly. No plans.
Saturday we fly back, again inside airplanes.
I'll try to post updates while we're out there on the West Coast. See you real soon.
