Seems like every other thing I have on iTunes, the "listeners also bought" says, among other things, "Leo Kottke".
Now either everyone, from fans of Kiss to The Smiths to Love likes and owns some Leo Kottke, or there's something strange going on here.
I mean, Leo Kottke? I think I've known three people who've even heard of him. But what would a 50-something blues guitarist be doing stuffing the ballot box?
Maybe he has a prankster, money-freak relative as a manager. I'm requesting a congressional hearing.

My first roommate at UMass, an Amherst townie named Jason, adored Leo Kottke. He only owned about five CDs and didn't listen to music very much at all. It's hard now to even remember what he did listen to but I do recall him also digging Joe Jackson (the lightweight later stuff, not the edgy early stuff) and 10,000 Maniacs. Jason was completely deaf in one ear and somewhat hard of hearing in the other. So I guess if you don't really listen to music all that much in the first place, then Leo Kottke is just as good as anyone. Maybe that's the logic behind Leo fitting on so many listeners' lists? Hey, whether you like all kinds of music, or rarely listen to it at all, you'll still love Kottke!
i know lots of people that love leo. i grew up listening to leo. he's a bit weird and eccentric and amazingly melodic. a nitpicking point but i wouldn't classify him as a blues musician; in fact i'd say there is very little blues in his music.
still, it is strange that he would keep showing up in those lists. i agree.
