Scribblethon '08

You know what this weekend is? It's SCRIBBLETHON!

Our friend Scott Alden's heroic leap into the world of nuttiness. In his own words:
"Starting at 12am on Saturday 1/5, I will be drawing for 24 hours straight in order to raise money to fund my next project "Parallelaverse!" - a collection of 100 portraits of original costumed superhumans.

I'm asking folks to sponsor me by the hour in exchange for some of the art created during the event. No amount is too tiny, believe me. For more info or to become a sponsor please email me here: scottjarrodalden (at) gmail.com.

The whole thing ends with a "finish line" party at the Elevens starting at 10pm with: Abeja (super-slow mom-and-pop-core), Ella Longpre (rich, haunting, blowing dead leaves across yr guts), File of the Storm (Brian Akey's (of Winterpills/Levelette) ultra-bright, brow-furrowing pop sketchbook), The John Bobbit Experience (Two man, 8-bit, greasy, sexy electromance), DON'T (NoHo's Ultimate Party Package) and perhaps others.

The show is FREE and I'll be really tired, silly and easily manipulated, so what's stopping you? Music will continue until 2am after the last scribble has been scribbled.

For a complete schedule, of where, when and what I'll be drawing, shoot me an email.

Please continue to spread the word and come out and see me if you can.

Thanks, Mr. Scott Jarrod Alden"

Well Rockumentary readers, since Scott wrote that, one more act has been added to the finish line party. It's our very own Sitting Next To Brian. We'll be closing out the night.
