Here we go. It all begins tomorrow night.
Tomorrow all five members of School for the Dead are getting together at Rub Wrongways Studios to plan out our new album. Then, this weekend, the recording process will begin. I can't believe it's been three years since The New You came out. Is there any kind of excuse for such a thing? Probably. Who knows?
I think we are all pretty excited for this record. I am. Let's just hope it's not a million degrees every day that we record. We tried to get central air but it was way too expensive. Way too.
We're still looking for good album titles. Do you have one?
Here's a question for you, fearless readers. Would you like it if I kept an ongoing diary of the recording process or would you prefer that the music came out unfiltered and pure, with no internal processes revealed?
Which would I prefer if I was me? I don't know. Do I like to think of the music that I am listening to as the actions of a group of people over time or do I like to just let it be this nebulous thing, this free and pure music? I like both. Do we tear down the fourth wall or do we embrace it? What do you think?
What does the rest of the band think?
