Senior Prank

Maybe you've been reading in the news lately about all the trouble high school seniors have been getting in due to their various senior pranks, some of which can be malicious, criminal, or just plain thoughtless or idiotic. Some of these pranks result in seniors being denied the ability to march in their graduation ceremonies; on the other side of things, it often results in a lot of clean-up for a maintenance department. Last year at my school, it wasn't awful but it wasn't terribly clever either- some senior swiped a master key to one of the academic wings so that the kids could get into teacher's rooms and remove all the phones from the walls. It didn't take long to restore order once some kid fessed up to the location of the pile of phones. Nonetheless, some of the administrators were a little unnerved by the theft of a master key.

Anyway, this year, I have to commend the seniors- after their senior pool party last night, which lasts until about 11 PM, they headed up to the academic buildings and hung a massive sign across the windows of the dining hall that read, "Thanks for all your support. From the Class of 2007" and then the kids proceeded to place bras throughout the buildings- hanging on doorknobs, suspended from ceilings, inside the refrigerator in the culinary room (!), etc., basically wherever bras could be placed without needing to break in anywhere. Nice. Rather than malicious, it was actually kinda sweet (the 'thank you' part); rather than last year's forgettable, dumb prank, this one was actually based on a clever play on words. And best yet, the maintenance supervisor actually had a smile on his face this morning.
