Last Sunday, the Fawns played a fashion show fund raiser at The Elevens in Northampton. Clothes were supplied by local vintage clothing stores and money went to the Western Mass Food Bank. There were 19 models strutting out on the extended catwalk while we played a whole mess of back-to-back Fawns hits. Each model appeared twice in different outfits and at the end there was a zombie wedding.
It was a really fun time. I was still in my illness haziness and the models twirled passed me in the bright lights and dry-ice smoke. It felt like a dream. A dream that came and went in 10 seconds.
Near the end of our set good-ole Cris Collingwood (Fountains of Wayne) came up and we played a couple songs with him. They were, Radiation Vibe which is so mind numbingly fun to play and The Ballad of Frank Strange which was sort of like a little Gay Potatoes reunion for Chris, Brian, and me. Except I was on guitar and not bass. We should really record that song, it's so good.
