School for the Dead - Halloween Party

Halloween is my favorite holiday. When a band has a name like School for the Dead, doesn't it only seem fitting that they should have a Halloween show? It's a creepy name. Wait, hey, look! We DO have that name and we DO have a Halloween show. It's on Saturday, October 28 at The Basement in Northampton, MA. You better come. And you better have a costume.

You know every year you say you are going to put together a great Halloween costume and every year the day suddenly creeps up on you and and every year you say, next year, I'm gonna have a great costume. Well now's your chance to plan ahead a little bit.

Halloweekend is only nine days away, though, so you don't have much time. If you are going to buy a wig or some make-up or some fake plastic battle-axes you might want to step on it, because lots of times the stores sell out of those things. Then you will be one of the panicked throngs rifling through the dregs at CVS - and Halloween isn't supposed to be THAT scary.

UPDATE: We will be giving away costume prizes at this Halloween Party. Prizes include: Tickets to Donovan at the Calvin Theatre, Mark Mulcahy and Our Lady of Bells at The Iron Horse, and Dennis Crommett and Sue at The Iron Horse.

what is your costume gonna be, Henning? will you be able to incorporate your glasses into it? I wish the basement was all-ages. Sal's in town that weekend.

my costume is not totally solidified yet, but let's just say that it is likely that a pair of fake ears will be needed. I have contact lenses now so I can wear those on Halloween. In fact, I almost exclusively wear them on Halloween and Transperformance.

Looks like someone needs a fake I.D.

fake ears, huh? do i smell a spock? hmmm. the tallness will work for you.

wow, a fake id!?! what a great idea! yeah, the kid is as tall as me now so if we dress him up thoroughly and get a fake i.d., he's in. isn't there a place at the Hadley mall where kids can get a driver's license?
