I was just gazing out the window longingly when a small group of people walked by. One of the women was cradling something in her arms that on first glance looked like a baby lamb. (What is the offical term for a baby lamb? Shank?). But there was something a little off about it, and it wasn't just the fact that it would be pretty strange for a woman to be carrying a baby lamb through town. The lamb's fur was just too white and clean looking. Then I thought, maybe it is a very well-groomed little poodle... but that didn't quite seem right either. Then I thought, hold on, it might be a stuffed animal, but you could tell by the woman's stature that there was too much heft in the mystery-thing for it to be a toy.
Finally she turned the corner and I could see that it was, in fact, a baby human in a full body lamb costume, complete with hood-like head and ears.
Just thought you should know.

Though I love the idea of using "shank", the term for a baby lamb is a lamb. A lamb means a baby sheep.
You were probably kidding, but I just wanted an excuse to think about lambs some more.
